| Getting all Pokemon |
| You cannot catch all Pokemon in this game. You must trade them from your Game Boy Advance Pokemon games. In this game, you can get all the fourth generation Pokemon, but only about fifty original Hoenn/Kanto/Johto Pokemon. |
| Change time to help get night and day Pokemon |
| You can change the time in game by simply doing the following. Start your DS up and go into system settings. Then click on the clock option followed by clicking the time option then change the time to what time you want it to be in the game. This makes it much easier to capture night and day pokemon without having to wait a set time.

| When you have different GBA Cartridges in your GBA Slot (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) you can catch wild Pokémon in different locations, relevant to the GBA game you have inserted. You can get Pokémon like Solrock (Ruby), Lotad (Sapphire), Weedle (FireRed), Caterpie (LeafGreen) and Gligar (Emerald) this way. |
| Mystery Gift |
| At the Jubilife television station, talk to anyone you see. If you find the person, enter "EVERYBODY HAPPY"; enter "WI-FI CONNECTION" for the WiFi people. You can get Pokemon such as Arceus, Shaymin, and Darakai. Note: You must have a WiFi or DS wireless link cable.

| Duplicate items |
| This trick requires a Pokemon that knows "Thief" and a Ditto. Enter a double battle with a Ditto without an item and a Pokemon holding the item you want to duplicate. Make Ditto transform into the Pokemon holding the item. Switch the Pokemon holding the item with the Pokemon that knows Thief. Use Thief on Ditto, then win the Pokemon battle. The Thief Pokemon will now have a duplicate of the item.

| Polishing your Badges |
| Open your Trainer card menu, then open your badge case. Rub the stylus over the badges that you have won from the gym leaders; they will become shiny after a good polishing. Also, each badge makes a different noise, allowing you to play them like an instrument

| Calculator sound |
| Use the calculator on the Poketech. If you get an answer to a problem, it will make a sound corresponding to the number/Pokemon in the Pokedex, but only if you have seen that Pokemon.

| Starting Pokemon |
The three starters in the North American version are Chimchare the Fire Monkey, Turtwig The Grass Turtle, and Piplup The Water penguin.
The three starters in the Japanese version are Naetle, Hikozaru, and Pochama. Naetle is Grass type with the Overgrow ability. Hikozaru is a fire chimp with Blaze. Pochama resembles a penguin with Torrent, just like the Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald starters.

Blue Trainer Card (one star): Defeat the Elite Four.
Bronze Trainer Card (two stars): Win all of the Master Rank Contests.
Silver Trainer Card (three stars): Successfully complete the Underground Flag mini-game with friends.
Gold Trainer Card (four stars): Capture 482 different Pokemon.
Black Trainer Card (five stars): Win 100 times in a row at the Battle Tower.

Go to Aspiration Lake to catch Agunomu.

Go to Beginning Dimension to catch Araseus.

Go to New Moon Island to catch Darkrai.
Emuritto
Meet at Trust Lake, then go to Shino and look in the grass. At random, a wild Emuritto will appear.
Giradina
Go to Return Cave to catch Giradina.
Hiidoran
Go to Hard Mountain to catch Hiidoran.
Kureseria
Meet at Full Moon Island, then go to Shino and look in the grass. At random, a wild Kureseria will appear.
Manafi
To get Manafi, you must download it from Pokemon Ranger.
Mime Jr.
To get Mime Jr., you must trade it from Pokemon Diamond.
Parukia
Go to Spear Pillar to catch Parukia.
Rotomu
Go to the Hakutai House at night, then go to the television and a wild Rotomu will appear.
Shemei
Go to Flower Elysim to catch Shemei.
Yukishii
Go to Wisdom Lake to catch Yukishii. |
| How to battle a wild Spiritomb |
| walk around on route 208 south from the berry masters house and you will find somebody by the trees. Talk to him and he will give you an odd keystone.Go to the old crumbling tower on route 209. Press the a button on it and you will put the odd keystone in it. iT is now the Hallowed Tower. Then go underground with somebody. Bring them by your secret base. Talk to them 32 times, you have to go inside your secret base after each conversation or it will not count. When you are done go above ground. Go back to the Hallowed Tower and press the a button and you will battle a wild Spiritomb. However, you will only battle it once so make sure you have a lot of balls. That is how you catch Spiritomb.

| How to catch Rotom |
| Go to the Old Chateau at a time between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM. Go into the room with a tv and press the A button on it. You will battle it at level 15. If you do not battle it try again the next day.

anne the cheat code to walk thourh walls is only on action reply.Also I don't know whats all about this masterball hat.Another thing is how do you really get arceus.One more thing if your wandering how to get darkrai if you know how to get to fullmoon island then keep going right using cheat code I told you about then youll find newmoon island then before fighting darkrai save.

if you want to get arceus, you must have an action replay. you enter the code (google pokemon cheat codes ds) and walk into any pokemart holking l and r buttons. a delivery man in a green suit will be standing by the counter. talk to him and he will give you the azure flute. then go to the spear pillar,and it will ask you if you want to play the flute, and say yes. a stairway will appear, and at the top you will find arceus.
to get shaymin, you need the walk/run anywhere cheat. go next to the pokemon league building (dont go in) and walk to the edge of the hill (right) and keep going right down the edge till you see the sign route 224.go to the very end of it at the top where you see a very weird stone. keep going past the stone (in the water) until you see this flower path(called sea break path). keep going, and at the end is shaymin, the world's cutist pokemon!
to get darkrai, you must also have the run/walk anywhere code on your ar. go to canalave city, and go into the house next to the sailor. talk to the mom, and then to the boy laying on the bed. go out side and talk to the sialor, and he will take you to full moon island. then talk to cressalia,and she will flee. then open up your bag and look on your map. you will see an island directly next to the one you're on called new moon island. the only way to get there is to run on water from full moon island. there you will find darkrai! happy hunting

the real way to get the odd keystone: go to twin leaf town and surf on the little pond in the back of the town. go to one of the trees surrounding the lke and hit A, one of those trees should hold the odd keystone!
